Copyright and Illegal Content Policy

Luminosity, SIA respects intellectual-property and other legal rights. This page explains how to notify us about a Aboot summary, playlist, author narration, podcast listing, or other item that you believe infringes rights or is illegal.

1. Before sending a notice

Aboot may display generated, user-submitted, or linked third-party content. Removing an item from Aboot does not necessarily remove material hosted by another party.

Please consider whether the material is licensed, open access, public domain, quoted lawfully, or otherwise authorized. A mistaken notice can affect lawful speech and access.

2. What to include

Send notices to help@aboot.app with the subject Rights or illegal content notice and include:

1. Your full name and an email address where we can reach you.
2. If you represent another person or organization, their name and the basis of your authority.
3. The exact Aboot item, including its title, creator or author where known, and the exact electronic location, link, content identifier, screenshot, or other detail that lets us find it.
4. The right or law you believe is violated and a clear explanation of why.
5. For copyright claims, identify the protected work and the part of the Aboot item that is allegedly infringing.
6. Any relevant registration, licence, authorization, court order, or supporting evidence.
7. A statement that the information is accurate and that you are making the notice in good faith.
8. Your typed or electronic signature.

For an urgent threat to life or child safety, contact the appropriate emergency or law- enforcement service first, then notify us.

3. What happens next

We will review a sufficiently complete notice and may request more information, restrict or remove content, preserve evidence, or take no action. We may share the substance of a notice and necessary contact details with the affected user where needed for a fair response, unless law or safety requires otherwise.

Where required, we will tell the reporter our decision and available review options. If we restrict content or an account, we will also give the affected user a clear and specific statement of reasons, including the legal or policy ground, the material facts, the scope of the restriction, any material use of automated means, and available redress, unless giving that information is prohibited or would create a serious safety or security risk.

We aim to act promptly, with priority for credible child-safety, violence, privacy, court- order, and clear infringement reports. Complex ownership, licence, quotation, or jurisdiction questions may take longer.

4. Response or counter-notice

If your content is restricted and you believe the decision is wrong, email help@aboot.app with:

• the affected item and decision;
• your name and account email;
• why the content is authorized, lawful, licensed, public domain, or otherwise permitted;
• supporting documents or source links; and
• a good-faith statement that your response is accurate.

We may restore content, keep it restricted, or ask the parties to obtain an appropriate court or authority decision. Restoration is not guaranteed.

The reporter may also ask us to review a decision not to act. A review request should identify the original notice, explain the alleged error, and include any missing evidence.

5. Repeat or serious violations

We may suspend or terminate accounts responsible for repeated infringement, deliberate rights misrepresentation, or serious illegal content. We may also act against knowingly false, fraudulent, or abusive notices.
